This perennial grows at a moderate rate to 1-1/2' x 1-1/2'. Blue-green leaves form a rosette at the base of the plant. Hot pink flowers appear on spike in the spring. Reseeds easily. Accepts full sun or partial shade. Plant in fall for spring flowers. Attracts hummingbirds. Tender perennial at higher elevations. Native to southern Arizona and Sonora.

Evergreen ground cover grows quickly to 2' x 3'. Leaves are medium green and flowers are lavender to white. Blooms year-round in frost free weather. Excellent for spilling over walls or down banks. Full sun. Very attractive to butterflies. Native of South America.

Evergreen mounding groundcover grows at a slow- to moderate rate to 2' x 3'. The charteuse flowers appear midwinter through spring and add a nice contrast to the blue-green leaves. This plant truly has striking flowers and floliage. Low maintainance. Sap from plant may irrigate skin. Native to the Mediterranean.
